What’s my password again??

Everyone should know that passwords are important, but it is impossible to remember every single password that you use. If you are living on the road passwords are even more important. That’s why we use 1Password which is a password keeper program. No longer do we use the same password for my Netflix as we do our bank, or do we need to worry about giving someone access to my Wi-Fi when they stop buy. 1Password manages all passwords, and it syncs with all devices.  In addition, we have the family plan so we each can have our own password vaults and have a shared vault. In addition, it now offers MFA, multi-factor authentication.

Arrival Checklist

New Location Arrival Checklist

It’s exciting to check into new place! At first it seemed a little overwhelming as we both had different ideas on how to get things together. Then we came up with a list to make things easier on check in day.

Photos and Wi-Fi

Take photos of the new place.

Check the internet speed.

We take photos of the place for two reasons, we want to share them with you and to have proof of any damages that were there before we checked in.
Being able to work from anywhere is great as long as you have internet! We have checking the speed at the top of the list because if it’s not what we need we have to figure that out before anything else on the list.

Kitchen set up

What seasonings/oils are here?

Do they have the pans needed to cook your favorite meals?

What does the coffee pot need to work?

Is there dish soap?

Is there a dishwasher? Is there soap?

Trash bags?

Paper towels?

Bathtoom/Laundry

What is the quality and quantity of toilet paper?

Is there hand soap?

Also, check your personal supplies, toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo…etc…

Is there a washer and dryer?

Make your list for Delivery

Now that you’ve checked everthing out make your list. Find a store that delivers and place your order. Plan on having your next meal delivered too you.
You are in a new place, it’s tempting to want to go to the store yourself, but trust us when we say have it delivered! You have just traveled all day and the next step is so important give yourself the time to do it.

Home Sweet Home

Now unpack and get set up in your new home. This is a very important step, and one that is easy to skip. For the first several weeks we would just pull what we needed out of the suitcase, and we ended up feeling like we were living out of a suitcase.  If you take the time to completely unpack and get your office set up the way you like. You will feel more relaxed and enjoy your stay more if you take 15 to 30 mins unpacking everything. Michael bag even folds down for easy storage.
